Missed Something

You were standing besides me as we looked over the harbor. We were laughing, smiling, holding hands like we always were. The ships filled the waters and seabirds filled the air. I looked over to you to look into your eyes like i always did. 

And in the space and time it took to reach those pair of deep mysteriously hued circles that seem like they hold my entire world.

I couldn’t help feel like i missed something. Turning back, a half turn of the head away. Into an empty open place before me. 

And i couldn't help but feel like there was something there that i missed. 

There was something there that i missed.
