And i kept in my grounds
those qualities that i had had from the very start

And you kept a grasp, of all the better things we are, and are apart
What if they said forever...
Those people that come before us
in levels and levels, shelves made staircases that scale up to the sky.
We could climb into breathless heights
and see that there was a step afforded for every measure taken along this way.
Way up here, In this spot,
Where we could touch the ceiling, and say
if we only lifted our arms and hands and fingers
we would touch the outlines of the word Eternal.
